The Bay Sheffield is South Australia’s most prestigious foot race attracting the brightest and best competitors from around the country to Glenelg every December. The Bay Sheffield is held on Colley Reserve, opposite the Ensenada Motor Inn and Suites.

The SA Athletic League will host the 135th running of the Bay Sheffield Carnival on  26, 27, 28 December 2021. This event is a South Australian icon and among the top two events of its kind in Australia. The Bay Sheffield peaks with a 10 second, 100m dash, with the three day event consisting of 22 races ranging in distance from 70m to 1600m and includes athletes from under 14s to over 35s.

The 135th Bay Sheffield Carnival will be a spectacular event with record prize money on offer. The festivities include food and beverages with a pavilion offering a bar area and big screen to view the cricket in between races. Located along side Glenelg Beach, families can make a day of sun, sea and sport all in one area. Entry to the Bay Sheffield is free for spectators.

Looks a little dated on the outside however never judge a book by it's cover. The location is just very central to the heart of Glenelg. The rooms have been recently tastefully remodeled, staff are very friendly and helpful. I got a nice surprise this morning to find my windshield was cleaned by the staff. That is a very thoughtful touch of service that was unexpected but much appreciated. Keep it up guys!

Stayed here for four nights over long weekend for Masters Games. Excellent in every way. Very very clean. Breakfast was great and very filling. Location is superb right at the main intersection in Glenelg. Tram is literally 50 meters from the room. Plenty of parking. Choices for eating out incredible. Will certainly be staying here again.
