Every year thousands of people get dressed up--some more than others--to run or walk from the North Terrace down to Glenelg. In its first year the run had 1,600 participants, now there are around 30,000 runners who join in every year. The run kicks off near the North Terrace and King William Street intersection and goes through the city, down Anzac Highway, finishing along Jetty Road at Glenelg.
The full course is 12km but for those who want something shorter there are 6km and 3km options. You can walk or run. The City-Bay always features a wide variety of people; there are the Sub-60 runners who complete the 12km in under 60 minutes, while others use it as an opportunity to have fun with friends and family while dressing up in some crazy costumes.
