From cage diving to fine dining, there's a wine barrel full of reasons why South Australia was named as one of Lonely Planet's best regions to visit in 2017! South Australia was the only Australian destination to feature in the top three categories of top cities, regions and countries.

Party in Adelaide: capital of Australia's Best Event State -  When we say we're the country's events capital, we mean it! South Australia was named Australia's Best Event State for the second year running at the 2016 Australian Event Awards. In January, February and March, when nights are at their longest and balmiest, Adelaide enters party overdrive.

In the space of a few months, our capital is host to the massive Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide Festival of Arts, WOMADelaide, and Tour Down Under  And it doesn’t stop there. The Cabaret Festival, Alpine Winter Festival and Guitar Festival warm up the (very mild) winter months, while OzAsia, the Adelaide Film Festival and Feast Festival kick-off in spring.

Adelaide has a diverse cultural mix that guarantees the food is sensational. Rundle Street in Adelaide's east end includes a mix of historic pubs and family-run cafes and restaurants. Dine alfresco, morning, noon and night. Five minutes away, Norwood Parade is famously European influenced while Gouger Street, which is close to Chinatown and the Adelaide Central Market is crammed with Asian restaurants.

Happy Customers

Friendly staff very welcoming, happy to accommodate us without a booking . Upgraded us at no charge, huge studio apartment, maybe not as modern as others but very comfortable with everything you need. Close to everything and good value . Well worth the stay thank you :)

Excellent location, room was also excellent. Very clean and well presented. On site secure car parking. Staff we're very helpful, we were running late, so they gave us a call to see how we we're going, and what time we would arrive. Definitely on the return list.

Stayed here for four nights over long weekend for Masters Games. Excellent in every way. Very very clean. Breakfast was great and very filling. Location is superb right at the main intersection in Glenelg. Tram is literally 50 meters from the room. Plenty of parking. Choices for eating out incredible. Will certainly be staying here again.

Looks a little dated on the outside however never judge a book by it's cover. The location is just very central to the heart of Glenelg. The rooms have been recently tastefully remodeled, staff are very friendly and helpful. I got a nice surprise this morning to find my windshield was cleaned by the staff. That is a very thoughtful touch of service that was unexpected but much appreciated. Keep it up guys!

This is our second stay here. When in Adelaide we don’t look anywhere else. This place is quality. Close to eateries, tram into town. The staff goes that extra mile. Nice and cosy. Off-street parking. And it’s free.
